It has plenty of power and great battery life. I use it primarily for hard to reach areas and to pick up dry leaves and dirt that my dogs tracks in the house along with their hair shedding. It is also perfect for car cleaning too. The power is adequate. When it comes to handheld vacuum cleaners, I don't think any brand can beat Black and Decker. The suction is relatively powerful and will pick up loose hair, cereal, dust, and sand. This model also has a charging indicator. The LED light will stay on when plugged in until the battery is fully charged. It took mine about one hour to fully charge when I first unpacked it from the box. The dust compartment can be removed very easily too. The box comes with a wall stand which I find is the best way to store it. I really like this lightweight handheld vacuum. With having dogs, my couch mysteriously ends up with hair on the cushions every morning. The couch is a dark brown color and it shows every speck of dirt and lent on it. I've paid big bucks for high-end vacuums that are too bulky and big for small jobs. This one is perfect for me and has awesome suction and good battery life. I am very pleased with the product and definitely recommend it.
