WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner ― Accounting Edition
After using this scanner for a couple weeks I can say it is excellent for any home office or business. It makes scanning documents, receipts, business cards and other loose documents a snap. The scanner includes software to convert documents to editable/searchable documents. So far my experience with this feature is that it works pretty well and the OCR works as good or better than others out there. For receipts, in particular, I like it because it can identify dates, amounts and other key pieces of information so making it easier to categorize and process/save them in my accounting software. Overall, it works very well, is very easy to use, and is perfect for certain kinds of scanning. Initial set-up was mostly trouble-free. The scanner has a battery so it can be used without a nearby electrical connection once charged up, which takes about an hour initially. It can be charged through a USB 2 or 3 port, but the whole beauty of this thing is that it connects to your wireless network so that it can be located anywhere within range of the network. Once you get this document scanner set up and running, it works great. And, if you're like me, you have lots and lots of paper documents taking up lots and lots of room. Once you've converted them to data files, you can shred the paper files and turn them into confetti. I am in love with this Wireless Document Scanner. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
