Coleman® Flatwoods II™ 8-Person Dome Tent

I wanted a simple, easy dome tent. This was perfect. It could fit two QUEEN size mattress side by side with about 2ft from the mattress to door all across the front. The tent has three sides that are screen, not Windows. Fast set up. As with any tent, it's good insurance to spray all seams with a shot of camp dry on your 1'st setup. Without the rainfly on, it's all screen and nice for star gazing. Upon arrival at the campsite, We spread the tent out over a separate ground tarp to protect the floor from sharp sticks or rocks. The instructions are printed on a plastic sheet that is permanently sewn to the carrying case itself with pictures of the instructions. The tent was upright and standing within minutes. The tent uses the usual shock-corded, multi-segmented fiberglass poles that are inserted into long pockets sewn to the exterior of the tent. The poles are then bent and metal pins attached to each corner of the tent along with a metal ring are inserted into the end of each pole, erecting the tent into its familiar dome shape ant the poles resemble an "X". Sections of the pole are exposed for the rainfly to attach. I left the rainfly off during the day because we had sufficient tree shade to keep the sun away. Without the rainfly, the tent is about 50-60% screening and wide open to the rest of the world for seeing the inside of the interior. If you desire privacy, make sure the rainfly is installed. Without the rainfly on the breezes wafted through the screen and, kept out the bugs. I definitely recommend. I received this dome tent to review “Overall, I loved this tent.
